I have been an idle for almost 8 long months now. Sitting at home doing nothing. But, did i really do NOTHING??
Nah.
Okay, this is sort of a summary of what i did for the past months of utter freedom. This is the beauty of blogging. So i can keep track of my life. So that i will not accidentally eliminate any precious memories from my dodo brain.

- I had a job .
Then comes the downside. Stupid, arrogant, kiasu customers all day long. They will complain about every single thing under the sun. I do not understand but some of them have the mindset that if they are the customers then we, the Customer Service Officers are their maids/ servants and we have to deal with every single thing for them. Sad cases. However, some of them are such darlings. Polite, well-spoken, understanding. Servicing these people often make my day.
And another thing that i dislike is the rigid rules of working there. Everytime we move from our seat is like commiting some sort of sin. Seriously. We are expected to glue our butts to the chair until the end of our shift (preferbly later). We have to report our every move. Toilet. Lunch. Pantry etc. For example, we will get hunted down like a rat if we went to the toilet for more than 7 minutes. Craziness. We cannot wear skirts higher than our knees. Excuse me, am i still in primary school?? I really loathe it when people try to control me. Seriously, even my parents do not control me that way, so i suppose they have no right to do so.
And the thing that i really cannot stand and ultimately lead me to leaving the working scene after a mere 2 months is the BORINGNESS of the job. Can you imagine saying " Good morning/ afternoon/ evening , thank you for calling Citibank. My name is Shen Yee. How may i assist you today? " more than 60 times everyday??. Dealing with the same issues. Nothing challenging day after day. Every working day is mundane and NOTHING EVER CHANGES. I do not feel accomplished with the job. No sense of achievement and satisfaction.
Despite all that, i managed to learn some banking stuff so i am not such a bank-noob now. I also enjoyed the company of my newly found lovelies( cannot remember some of their names though) , Eileen and Wawa. Their company makes working ALMOST bearable. All in all, it is a good learning experience and one thing i learned is i DO NOT want to work as Customer Service Officer ever again!!
NEXT UP: My lovely time travelling up to KL to meet up with lovely esther and much more.
Toodles.
